miss r asked:

i’m a fifteen year old girl and my brother is going to college next year, so my parents said i can have the whole basement to decorate how i want. i am going to have 2 tvs, one on each end of the room, and one will have a nintendo 64 and the other will have a gamecube. I have a couch, chairs, and beanbag chairs, but i was wondering what would be a good color scheme to paint it (and curtains to get, too)

Are bean bags good for your back?

July 27th, 2010 | Posted in beanbags   Comments Off
Matt asked:

I was at the Mall of America yesterday and for a few moments, I got to rest in one of Corda-Roy’s beanbag chairs. I loved it. I never considered buying beanbags, but now I’m interested. Do you have one? Is it as good for your back as people say, and how well does it work as a bed?

asked:

Elka wants to make beanbag chairs for her twins when they go away to college. She has a pattern for a shape like an 18 by 18 by 20-inch rectangular box.Her friend Liz used this pattern to make a chair for her daugher.Elka likes that chair, but doesn’t think it is nearly big enough to be comfortable. She is thinking of enlarging the pattern by a factor of 2.

a) The amount of filling needed for the chair Liz made was 3.75 cubic ft.How much filling will Elka need for her chair design?

b) The beanbag filling comes in packages of 2 cubic ft. for $8.99 a package. How much did it cost Liz to fill the chair she made? How much would it cost Elka to fill the two enlarged chairs for her twins?

c) Elka thinks that it will cost too much to make the chairs she had planned. She decides to enlarge the pattern only by a factor of 1.5, instead. How much will the filling cost these two chairs?

=) please help 10 points…..

My Morning Jacket song title?

Rotten Johnny asked:

In the most recent episode of American Dad, Stan and Haley are in her room, laying in beanbag chairs listening to My Morning Jacket. What is the song they are listening to? I cant find it anywhere on YouTube and the AD episode doesn’t list the song title in the credits.

What color should I paint my lounge?

June 29th, 2010 | Posted in beanbags   Comments Off
CookieMonster asked:

I recently got to use my brother’s room for my lounge since he’s living with my dad now. I have a HUGE pink beanbag in there with a rainbow colored body pillow and a small green pillow with polca dots. I also have a yellow desk there with a matching yellow chair. There’s tan crapet and now the walls are beige. What colors should I paint the walls? It’s a pretty big space and all my friends hang out there. I want it to be colorful. Color ideas?

I need decorating ideas?

June 23rd, 2010 | Posted in beanbags   Comments Off
Stacia S asked:

Right now we’re getting an addition on our house, and I’m getting a new bedroom. I can’t find a theme or how to decorate it. I’m not the really girly type either. I might be getting some beanbag chair for movies and stuff too. But its really plain and white, the walls are white too, but we just painted them because we were going to sell our house, but didn’t. So I’m not allowed to paint them, but I want to decorate them. I’m thinking about putting a poster up with all of my friends signings on them. Thanks!

small jokes for friends?

June 22nd, 2010 | Posted in beanbags   Comments Off
zero b asked:

MESS TEST
Smear peanut butter on the sofa and curtains. Place a fish stick behind the couch and leave it there all summer.
TOY TEST
Obtain a 55-gallon box of Legos (or you may substitute roofing tacks). Have a friend spread them all over the house. Put on a blindfold. Try to walk to the bathroom or kitchen. Do not scream because this would wake a child at night.

GROCERY STORE TEST
Borrow one or two small animals (goats are best) and take them with you as you shop. Always keep them in sight and pay for anything they eat or damage.

DRESSING TEST
Obtain one large, unhappy, live octopus. Stuff into a small net bag making sure that all the arms stay inside.

FEEDING TEST
Obtain a large plastic milk jug. Fill halfway with water. Suspend from the ceiling with a cord. Start the jug swinging. Try to insert spoonfuls of soggy cereal into the mouth of the jug, while pretending to be an airplane. Now dump the contents of the jug on the floor.

NIGHT TEST
Prepare by obtaining a small cloth bag and fill it with 8-12 pounds of sand. Soak it thoroughly in water. At 3:00p.m., begin to waltz and hum with the bag until 9:00p.m. Lay down your bag and set your alarm for 10:00p.m.Get up, pick up your bag, and sing every song you have ever heard. Make up about a dozen more and sing these too until 4:00a.m. Set alarm for 5:00a.m. Get up and make breakfast. Keep this up for 5 years. Look cheerful.

INGENUITY TEST
Take an egg carton. Using a pair of scissors and pot of paint, turn it into an alligator. Now take a toilet paper tube and turn it into an attractive Christmas candle. Use only scotch tape and a piece of foil. Last, take a milk carton, a ping-pong ball, and an empty box of Cocoa Puffs. Make an exact replica of the Eiffel Tower.

AUTOMOBILE TEST
Forget the BMW and buy a station wagon. Buy a chocolate ice cream cone and put it in the glove compartment. Leave it there. Get a dime. Stick it into the cassette player. Take a family size package of chocolate chip cookies. Mash them into the back seat. Run a garden rake along both sides of the car. There, perfect.

PHYSICAL TEST (Women)
Obtain a large beanbag chair and attach it to the front of your clothes. Leave it there for 9 months. Now remove 10 of the beans. And try not to notice your closet full of clothes. You won’t be wearing them for a while.

PHYSICAL TEST (Men)
Go to the nearest drug store. Set your wallet on the counter. Ask the clerk to help himself. Now proceed to the nearest food store. Go to the head office and arrange for your paycheck to be directly deposited to the store. Purchase a newspaper. Go home and read it quietly for the last time.

FINAL ASSIGNMENT
Find a couple who already have a small child. Lecture them on how they can improve their discipline, patience, tolerance, toilet training and child’s table manners. Suggest many ways they can improve. Emphasize to them that they should never allow their children to run wild. Enjoy this experience. It will be the last time you will have all the answers.
