Is a beanbag a safe place for a one year old to lay down?

At my freinds house my son fell asleep on the beanbag chair and got so attached he clung to it, I thought about buying one for him to rest on but wasn’t sure if is really safe? I don’t know if there is one he couldn’t open but is a beanbag chair safe and appropriate?

      My wife you probably wont be able to take your baby but must emphasise relax its probably over anxiety if the beanbag was dangerous surely there.

      The beans isnt the only issue he could definitly suffocate in there.
