I was told that I can protect my furniture/cushions from lice by spraying it with Scotchguard. Is this true?

I am a 4th grade teacher, and wanted to include beanbag chairs in my classroom this year for reading. However, I have heard horror stories about lice getting into the furniture and spreading it to all of the children. Does anyone have a suggestion to prevent this, without simply not using any of the fun furniture/pillows for the kids.

No Scotchguard will not work for that. However you can get that RID spray for the classroom furniture.
