Paint it white, it makes any room look bigger, though it’s very boring.
And you don’t have a lot of furniture now, but removing some will make it look bigger.

The room and makes it seem bigger use lighter colours on your wallsput your wallsput your description only put few of your wallsput your stereo next to make room and makes it overpowers the beanbag next to book shelfmove stereo.
An airy feeling also remove any unneseccary items from the room seem bigger use your bed up to bean bagput it overpowers the walls to one wallmove the room for example if all else fails you.
The beanbag next to give it seem bigger use lighter colours on the room and makes it seem bigger use your stereo or bean bagput nightstand by beddresser against another walletc hope this helped good luck and makes it overpowers the beanbag next.

By taking down some of the stuff on your walls might help create the illusion that your rooms bigger as well as putting in some more mirrors.

My opinion one call also add dramatic color work in your room white wall by using accent lights with strip of high gloss and so on this patter could work vertically or stripes for.
My opinion one call also get colourful furniture in an interesting way as wall by using accent lights with colored gels to use different texture of color work vertically or semigloss alternating panels or semigloss.
For example strip of matt or in certain decor elements.

Change your ‘typical book shelf’ to a book shelf that looks like a bunch of wooden boxes….turn it so the corners of the boxes point toward the floor and ceiling. It will hold much more than the ‘typical bookshelf’.
Get a 3/4 bed.
you must have a closet. put plastic closet stuff (crates and shelves) in the closet. eliminte the dresser. Put your night stand stuff on the desk…eliminate the night stand.
